Welcome on our “Living on a farm in Slovakia – Blog”. In May 2008 we have bought a smallholding in Slovakia without ever having seen it and we have moved to our farm in September 2008. Since then we have started to get acquainted with our neighbours, learn the Slovak language, renovate the house, regain our land from nature and we have actually started to farm on our land in spring 2009. On this blog you can follow our progress and setbacks.

Farm yard
Eight goat kids were born during the last two days and with nice sunny weather the whole group is outside with their mothers on our yard. We have a few days without sheep lambing so the goats can occupy the lamb pens at night.
