Welcome on our “Living on a farm in Slovakia – Blog”. In May 2008 we have bought a smallholding in Slovakia without ever having seen it and we have moved to our farm in September 2008. Since then we have started to get acquainted with our neighbours, learn the Slovak language, renovate the house, regain our land from nature and we have actually started to farm on our land in spring 2009. On this blog you can follow our progress and setbacks.

Sorry
It is a tough job to keep this blog 'up to date' with Christmass trees which need to be weeded, campers that have to be towed out of the mud and familly and friends comming to visit us (or rather Katinka).
