Welcome on our “Living on a farm in Slovakia – Blog”. In May 2008 we have bought a smallholding in Slovakia without ever having seen it and we have moved to our farm in September 2008. Since then we have started to get acquainted with our neighbours, learn the Slovak language, renovate the house, regain our land from nature and we have actually started to farm on our land in spring 2009. On this blog you can follow our progress and setbacks.

Cheese making
From grass to delicious home made goat cheese takes +/- 7 days. Ingredients: grass + herbs + goat -> milk, than add rennet and salt, practice some patience and as finishing touch you need a pinch of the cheese master's carftsmanship.
