Welcome on our “Living on a farm in Slovakia – Blog”. In May 2008 we have bought a smallholding in Slovakia without ever having seen it and we have moved to our farm in September 2008. Since then we have started to get acquainted with our neighbours, learn the Slovak language, renovate the house, regain our land from nature and we have actually started to farm on our land in spring 2009. On this blog you can follow our progress and setbacks.
Have fun reading it!
Hi guys, This blog deserves more attention. You go against the stream and show to people they don't need to rely on supermarkets etc. if they want to feed their family even it can be more comfortable for them. Hope I'd enjoy similar way of living one day when I'll be "grown up" :) so I can build my dream off-the-grid home. I really admire lifestyle you've chosen and also your courage to start in Slovakia where a life can be hard for native Slovaks not even for foreigners. I know how one can get negatively surprised by some things and people in this country. So I wish you having just nice experience and meeting good people. I also wish a merry to your family. I hope to visit your camping site next summer if I go to that part of Slovakia.
