Welcome on our “Living on a farm in Slovakia – Blog”. In May 2008 we have bought a smallholding in Slovakia without ever having seen it and we have moved to our farm in September 2008. Since then we have started to get acquainted with our neighbours, learn the Slovak language, renovate the house, regain our land from nature and we have actually started to farm on our land in spring 2009. On this blog you can follow our progress and setbacks. Have fun reading it!

Farm Lazy brings lovely milk soaps on the market!
Our main goal of keeping sheep and goats is milking and making cheese. But we are always looking for ways to bring more innovative products from our wonderful animals. We have been working this winter to develop a line of fresh milk soaps.
Why putting milk in a soap bar? All milk contains natural emollients, vitamins and triglycerides that moisturize the skin. Goat milk specifically contains the reputed highly effective moisturizer capric-capryllic triglyceride. Sheep’s milk soap is the most luxurious of all because sheep’s milk is higher in butterfat, milk proteins, vitamins, and minerals than either cow or goat milk. People who use milk soap claim that it is far less drying and harsh than ordinary soap.
And what is special to 'Farm Lazy' milk soaps? We milk our own sheep and goats, which means we now exactly how the animals who produce the milk for our products are treated and also that we are using the best quality fresh milk available in our products. Our animals graze on pesticide-free pastures to make milk that is full of natural freshness - we have a personal relationship with all of our does and ewes and they are treated like part of the family!
