Spring!

21st March; Today spring has started. The sun is shining but it is still rather cold. The meadows have a light brown color, no wild flowers yet. Will it ever get warm again?

One month later:

Cultural heritage

We find all kind of things on our attic, in the courtyard and even in the soil. Most of it is garbage since no refuse collection has our little valley on its itinerary. However this barrel is part of what we consider our cut of Slovakia's cultural heritage (still alive)!

Spring?

Barn

We continue working in our old barn, it will become something quite different. The ceiling has to go, something used it for lunch. It is made of oak wood covered with a mixture of straw and loam. The oak boards will end up in our wood stove, their seems to be enough to keep us warm for a month or two!
